Many choral conductors work with a variety of vocal needs—from children to professionals. This workshop wants to energize, inspire and offer practical tools to support vocal development across genres and traditions. Participants will explore material inspired by Scandinavian folk music, rounds, Middle Eastern and Asian vocal styles, tongue twisters, classical singing, and body percussion. The songs and exercises from his new book “Come and Sing – Together!”, launched at the chor.com, can be used as a way to begin or to sharpen listening focus, a bridge between traditional warm-ups and current repertoire, a method to connect body and voice or simply a playful challenge to spark joy and curiosity. Bo Rosenkull presents songs and exercises that connect body and voice, sharpen listening, and spark joy – and also creates a space for playful discussions.
