Why spend time on warming up, when there is so much music to rehearse!? Because you don’t have time not to. In this workshop Tine Fris-Ronsfeld and Kristoffer Fynbo Thorning will show the participants why the warm-up is probably the most important part of the entire rehearsal. And how it can be turned into a playful learning space for musical and vocal development as well as a greenhouse for trust, joy of singing and co-creativity – if it’s well planned. The team will guide participants through their favourite warm-ups for pop/jazz/gospel choirs and share guidelines to a ready-to-use framework, so choir leaders can create their own custom-made warm-up programmes for their own choir.
